60 Margaret St

Modernisation of an 80’s office tower with abundant natural light and huge potential to appeal to a modern tech-led market

Futurespace was engaged to work with property managers Savills and building owners Mirvac to refurbish 60 Margaret Street in the Sydney CBD.  The clients’ main objective for this project was to bring the asset into the 21st century, appealing to technology led SME’s.

Our scope included preparing design concepts and technical plans for the lift lobbies and amenities of each typical floor.  The design brief was to be less corporate and more hospitality led throughout the entire commercial tower.  Initially rolled out on Level 9 with great success, the design is now being implemented across floors throughout the tower as they become vacant.

In addition to the above Futurespace prepared marketing drawings and mood boards to appeal to prospective tenants and help businesses understand the potential of the space.

Our team also created a design for the ground floor lobby, addressing the entry space as well as how it connects to the external area, looking at issues such as pedestrian traffic, occupant travel paths and flow throughout the space, presence, image and the overall experience for those located in the building.
