American Express is one of the world’s most recognised brands and has been in the financial services industry for over 160 years. FutureSpace worked with CBRE and FDC to design and deliver approx. 3,000m2 of workspace in a heritage restricted building in Melbourne’s CBD. The project implemented Amex’s global standards (the ‘Bluework’ program) and included key strategies to assist American Express to achieve both cultural and business objectives. Various divisional units’ behaviour is catered for via a range of custom work settings, and the conceptual design has been inspired by the American Express brand; one bold colour was used and the built form was evolved from the American Express square logo.
