REA Group has a well-earned reputation for their astute balance of organisational culture and an agile operating model, built up over the last five years – human factors that have seen the share price uncoincidentally grow from $4 to $44 in that same time.
As the lease for our head office at 678 Victoria Street in Richmond drew to a close, and we dramatically outgrew our 3 storey turn of the century offices, we were anxious to find an architect and interiors partner that would not just tick the box of “not f*** it up”, but could actually find a way of adding value to both our culture and our agility.
The search was excruciating. Turns out not every architect understands culture, though they say they do. An even smaller subset understand agile work practices – let alone use them! We struck gold. We had to go to Sydney to do it, but it didn’t matter – Futurespace have an excellent office in Melbourne as well.

You cannot go wrong hiring Futurespace as your guide to a new office. They probably won’t be the cheapest, but if you value your organisational culture (and I know you do), and are looking to design an office that doesn’t just ‘house’ your people, it makes them more productive along the way, you’d do well to hire them.
