Unique best practise initiatives have come together to produce this intelligent environment for Goodman Fielder

futurespace was appointed to undertake the design of Goodman Fielder’s Sydney headquarters in North Ryde. The new facility includes flexible work areas across six upper floors with the main reception and client function floor at the ground floor entrance level. The reception floor also accommodates a 600sqm Culinary Centre; this is a state-of-the-art research and development facility showcasing Goodman Fielder’s latest products along with training, client function, breakout and staff shop areas. The office floors include private offices, open plan work areas, meeting rooms, an executive meeting suite and a well appointed team breakout with sweeping views towards the Sydney CBD.
The design layout for each floor ensures the built environment is kept the core in order to maximise availability of natural light for everyone. The materials and finishes palette draws upon Goodman Fielder’s links to food growth and production. There is an emphasis on food as a theme including “olive”, “wheat” and other natural tones. Our team customised the systems furniture to ensure maximum flexibility for the end users with the introduction of a fixed spine and movable desk and storage systems.
futurespace also had an oversight role in the development of branding graphics and way-finding throughout the new workplace, with a strong emphasis placed on showcasing Goodman Fielder’s products, process and history via the visual language.
