futurespace was appointed to complete the design for CA’s new Australian headquarters, which encompassed the consolidation of two existing offices into one new facility at North Ryde.
The new facility includes general office open plan functions, reception, meeting and training suites as well as central support facilities, server and data centre, support lab and various secondary IT infrastructure spaces. An open interconnecting staircase was included to link and provide connectivity to the four office levels and is located around a communal breakout and team space at each level.
In addition to the workplace futurespace designed a Montessori Children’s Centre. This is an onsite childcare facility for the children of CA’s workforce that meets all of CA’s global standards as well as local Australian regulatory and statutory requirements. The ability to provide a childcare centre with indoor and outdoor play spaces was an important criteria in the building selection process.
Following the successful completion of the North Ryde headquarters, futurespace also designed new Melbourne offices for CA in St Kilda Rd and undertook other workplace projects in Perth, Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul and Mumbai.
The design approach for each of these projects was to implement CA’s global standards for office allocations, space standards and branding.
CA’s commitment to the environment included futurespace making the most sustainable choices wherever possible for each of these projects and achieving a 4.5 ABGR rating for the headquarters in North Ryde.
