Joseph Daly
Technical Director

BSc ArchTech (Hons), Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland

“I believe good design is something that answers its brief, is simple yet unique and can grow and evolve as the end user grows or changes.  Every project, no matter what size, has merit and should be given its fair dues. The finer often unseen details of design can ultimately make the overall result a success.”

As a Technical Director at Futurespace, every day Joseph pushes the boundaries of how interiors can be approached, designed and delivered.

In his role, he provides a full overview of all technical aspects of the client design from the very initial stages of projects. He identifies areas on a project that can be ‘exploited’ to push the level and boundary of the design whilst maintaining all levels of compliance.

Working at cutting edge of workplace design, his designs resolve complex situations to make what is seemingly impossible - possible. His goal is to create workplaces that improve the life of others through clever design of even the simplest object or area.

Joseph believes that good design is something that answers its brief, is simplistic yet unique and can grow and evolve as the end user grows or changes. The finer, often unseen, details can ultimately make the overall result a success. With 10 years’ experience across the Architectural, Structural and Interiors sectors Joseph is recognised as professional, creative and innovative.

He has been directly involved in significant projects that have led Futurespace to be at the fore front of workplace design including Microsoft, JLL, REA Group, Wotif, PPB and PwC.  He was a key team member of the REA Melbourne project which delivered a highly agile design and fit-out that grows, supports and evolves as the client’s requirements and task orientated work demands.
