futurespace was engaged to design a new facility which combines Fujitsu’s existing call centre operations from Fig Tree Drive, Homebush Bay as well as Pitt Street, Sydney.The key drivers for this project were to provide an environment that was extremely durable with a high level of amenity for the call centre team while at the same time being a cost-conscious, budget-driven fitout.The overall design and concept includes use of the Fujitsu ‘red’ corporate colour to define the entry lobby at level 3. All elements in the entry lobby from flooring, lighting, framing, logo and walls are layers of this corporate colour. The use of bright color “pods” as semi enclosed meeting and relaxation spaces within the open plan areas breaks down the floor plate. There is also a café space which acts as a destination for respite from the workplace.
