Futurespace recently completed a refurbishment for Henry Davis York’s client floor, which involved integrating a new, modern fitout within the existing Art Deco heritage conditions.The client floor was replanned to include training facilities and additional meeting rooms, while the heritage York room was reinvigorated to create a more functional environment that remained sensitive to its history. Kitchen facilities were upgraded to accommodate further meeting areas, and acoustics were planned to allow for the noise created by the existing stone floor. The interior references the bold Art Deco heritage of the building with the inclusion of striking, large scale rugs that create visual impact and a connection between the new and existing components of the fitout.
