futurespace worked closely with APP on the development of NIB's new 8,000m2 head office to a strategic brief undertaken by DEGW. NIB undertook the development of a new building in Newcastle for their headquarters and futurespace acted as their architectural representative for the base building. The project was part of a major cultural change process for NIB, bringing all of their head office functions together in new light, bright and egalitarian accommodation. The principle design drivers were the concept of "wellness" through the creation of a healthy Green Star rated environment and the "eternal summer". A new stair was created as an important link between all areas of the business.
