Futurespace completed Lehman Brothers new
Sydney Offices in Governor Phillip Tower in mid
2008 – just a couple of months before Lehman
Brothers parent company in the USA collapsed as
one of the most high profile casualties of the global
financial crisis.
The project for Lehman Brothers was particularly
challenging with the integration of engineering
services into GPT and redundancy provisions
to meet their global standards. The project was
undertaken with CBRE as project managers and in
close consultation with Lehman Brothers regional
facilities team in Hong Kong.
The project includes a new 100 position trading
floor supported by a sophisticated on site data
centre linked to Lehman Brothers global network.
The planning was undertaken to a modular grid with
the use of a sophisticated demountable wall system
and access floor to maximise future flexibility.
